Samoa On November 1st 1998 Toyota Tsusho Corporation (Japan) purchased the remaining 50% of Toyota Tsusho South Pacific Holding Pty Ltd (TTSPH) from the Burns Philip organization to become the companies majority shareholder. TTSPH markets and fully supports the Toyota, Yamaha and Hino brands, as well as other high profile products through out the South Pacific region. While the TTSPH administrative Head Office is in Brisbane Australia , it's operations are in seven key South Pacific markets .Toyota Tsusho (South Sea) Limited trading as Asco Motors operates branches throughout Fiji, Tonga, the Independent state of Samoa and American Samoa . Toyota Tsusho South Pacific Holding also trades as Ela Motors in Papua New Guinea, Ela Motors in the Solomon Islands and Asco Motors in Vanuatu. In the majority of the markets in which the company operates TTSPH are the market leaders within that countries automotive industry.

Asco Motors are a well established member of the automotive industry in Samoa. Originally operating from an old copra shed, Asco motors Apia facility was redeveloped in 1996. Marketing quality Toyota products such as Hilux, Land cruiser, Hiace, and the Coaster bus. The dealership also supports it's valued customers with the full range of Toyota genuine parts and mechanical services. Asco Motors are resellers of Daihatsu, Hino trucks and Quality Yamaha products.
